What we’re reading…
All These Morning Routines are Making me Shame Spiral. THIS. This right here. I read the excerpted version in the January issue of Elle, titled The Productivity Trap and then had to find it, immediately, online to read daily as a reminder that I am doing just fine. The gist: these CEOs and influencers who share their morning routines in an attempt shed light on their work/life balance are actually making life harder for us average folk who don’t have the luxuries and assistance they do. The standard (especially for working moms) is often unrealistic and unattainable and leave us feeling like failures. We are not.
What we’re listening to
Circle Round. It’s a story-time podcast appropriate for kids age 4-10. They tell specially selected folktales from all around the world. Our contributors love to listen to this podcast while playing and crafting with the kiddos. It’s available for free from iTunes or you can check it out here.
What we’re watching…
I’m pretty sure EVERYONE is currently watching the dueling Fyre Festival documentaries. Because, you just can’t turn your head when you are watching a total train wreck. Since I only have Netflix (no Hulu here), I was only able to watch Fyre: The Greatest Party that Never Happened. It was seriously fascinating and I sat there with my mouth agape for a solid hour. It’s incredible how something could go so wrong on so many levels. Billy McFarland, I’m pretty sure, is a sociopath. And, Chrissy Teigen tweets about Fyre Festival documentaries is my new favorite genre of tweets.
What we’re making…
I know we’re 3 weeks into the new year, but I just started thinking about my vision board. I’ve got big goals for 2019 as far as my career and health go. I’ve never made a vision board before, but I decided this was the year to get at it. I want to keep my goals visible so I don’t lose sight of them.

What we’re Amazon Priming…
I don’t know about you but blowdrying my hair is such a daunting task. It also feels like it takes an eternity and I still have to style it after I’m done. The moment I saw this handy hot tool come up on Facebook with some praise from fellow moms, I took to Amazon to order it up. 2 days later (gotta love prime shipping) and I was blowdrying my hair with the Revlon One-Step Hairdryer & Styler. It did NOT disappoint and cut my dry time in half!
