What we’re reading… Stories that Stick by Kindra Hall
I heard Kindra Hall interviewed on one of my favorite Podcast, The Kate & Mike Show and I immediately purchased her book. I could seriously listen to her tell stories every day.
I just started the book and it is already eye opening. She uses stories to explain why storytelling is so important in building relationships as a business. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is growing a business or small business owners. You will find so much value here.
What we’re obsessed with… This Dress from Lulu’s
I should also add, I’m obsessed with Lulu’s. After having two C-sections, finding clothes that fit right is such a challenge. I love shopping at Lulu’s because real life women review the products, post pictures of themselves in the products and let you know their height, weight, and measurements. It’s easy to find someone with a similar body type and see how an item looked on them before committing to a purchase.
I recently purchased the above dress for my brother-in-law’s wedding. In fact, if you’re reading this, the wedding has already happened. I was so apprehensive about finding a dress that would look good on my post-baby body… but this dress fit like a glove and was better quality than I’d anticipated.
Check out Lulu’s, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
What we’re watching… Friday Night Dinner on Hulu
I think it’s safe to say that anyone, ANYONE with a sibling will be able to relate to this show. If you don’t have a sibling – don’t stop reading! If you have quirky or aging parents, you’ll be able to relate, too. It’s rare that a show will make both my husband and I physically laugh out loud… but this show does just that.
It’s British so each season only has 6 episodes. But, even so, the family dynamic is so relatable – with a mom who is always annoyed, a dad who never has a shirt on and can’t hear anything, and two brothers who call each other names and prank each other incessantly. We love it and I bet you will, too.
