What we’re reading…

Our friends over at Sorella Tribu launched their online magazine on January 1st. They are embarking on a collaborative writing project exploring what it means for women to find their tribe. Check them out and give a like and follow.

What we’re listening to…

The Longest Shortest Time podcast, available for free on iTunes. It’s a parenting podcast but it’s not cliche or corny. It’s entertaining, smart, and relevant. I recently listened to and older episode from the spring where callers recounted car births. My jaw was dropped or I was laughing through the entire episode. My biggest take away: those poor car detailers who clean up afterwards.

What we’re watching…

The Office on Netflix. I know, I know…. I’m about 14 years late to the party. But, I can’t stop watching. Over the Holiday break, TBS was rerunning all of The Office Christmas episodes. I watched 2 of them and couldn’t stop laughing; so I decided to start from the beginning. I’m obsessed with Pam and Jim. They are major #relationshipgoals. And Michael and Dwight are so cringeworthy, like, every single thing they say and do. I’m currently on season 5. I’m sure it can only get better.

What we’re obsessed with…

This kids Bento style lunch box. I hate packing lunches and now that I have 2 kids in school full time, we are going through sandwich and snack bags like lightning. Over Christmas break, my husband and I got to chatting about how many bags we were using a week and how wasteful (and expensive) it was getting. I grabbed two of these Bentgo Kids Lunch Boxes and haven’t looked back. Thanks to Jessica and this solid review, I am one week down and reducing my waste.

What we’re making…

I busted out my favorite easy sugar cookie recipe again this week. I use this sugar cookie recipe as the base for almost every cookie I make. This is my go to recipe because I always have the ingredients on hand and it’s perfect to throw together on a snowy day home with the kids.
