What we’re obsessed with… This FREE Holiday Support Group
I don’t know about you, but for me – the holidays can be a real struggle. I seriously struggle with self control around all the yummy foods.
Luckily, this year I’m going into the holiday season with no worries because I’ve found Heather at Conscious Nutrition and she’s offering a FREE Facebook support group.
If you want to fully enjoy your holidays and at the same time feel connected and supported, join the group with me!
What we’re thinking about… Keeping the Holidays Simple
And, stress free! Last year, Chelsea shared how she does this when hosting a large family Thanksgiving meal. Her post, Not Going Overboard for the Holidays: Thanksgiving, has been getting a lot of attention lately.
We’re not surprised. As moms with busy lives and crazy kids, aren’t we all always looking for ways to simplify? Let us know what you do to slow down and simplify during the holiday season.
What we’re making… Turkey, duh.
I had no idea there were so many different ways to make a turkey! I’m a pretty traditional roasted turkey kind of gal… but Becca over at My Crazy Good Life is sharing 10 Ways to Cook a Turkey.
Think options like deep fried, grilled, or in the slow cooker. How will you be cooking your turkey this year? Let us know in the comments.
What we’re watching… Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
A Thanksgiving classic! This one is a bit older {like almost as old as me}, so you may not have even heard of it. It stars Steve Martin and John Candy. They’re both racing home for Thanksgiving with their families and, of course, chaos and mayhem ensue.
If you haven’t seen this before, you can find it on Amazon Prime or Netflix. If you have seen it before but not since you were a kiddo… give it a second go, I guarantee there will be jokes you missed years ago.
