What we’re obsessed with… American Eagle
I loved American Eagle when I was younger. It’s basically what I lived in for most of high school and college. Back in those days, I was much smaller than I am now, like at least 40lbs smaller. Then, I typically wore a Medium or even sometimes a Large shirt. It always made me feel bad about myself, but it was what it was. After having kids, there was no chance I thought I’d fit into anything there… so I just didn’t try.
Last week, I saw a shirt I really liked and wanted from American Eagle. I decided to try it out, so I ordered an XL, thinking that it still might be a bit tight on me. Long story short – it came and it’s HUGE on me. I had no idea that they completely reworked their sizing for regular people!
I will definitely be grabbing more things from American Eagle in the future. If you’re curious what they’ve got and how things fit, check out this post from our contributor, Jillian Rosado.
What we’re watching… Love Island on Hulu
I cannot stop watching this. It is the ultimate in trash TV… but so so so good! Basically, it’s Bachelor in Paradise with British accents. But, the accents and the slang are really what make it. Give it a try if you want to just completely disconnect your brain from your body.
What we’re making… Vegetarian Chili
We’ve been eating about 75% plant based for the past 8 or so months. With the cooler weather coming in, I’ve been dreaming of having chili. So, this week, I made a vegetarian chili where I used lentils instead of meat. To make it a bit more hardy, I served it over roasted potatoes.
It was excellent and my husband didn’t even realize there was no meat in the dish until he finished and I told him.
Keep your eye on the blog for a full recipe coming your way in the next few weeks.
