What we’re reading… Amateur Hour by Kimberly Harrington.
This is the perfect Mother’s Day gift for your mom, daughter, friend, or for yourself. Just like parenting, it combines the humor with the hurt. It made our Mom’s Summer Reading list, last year. I recently gifted this to a friend and she’s already given it her mom seal of approval. Give this a read if you are down for some ugly laugh-crying.
What we’re listening to… Not Another True Crime Podcast.
I love true crime podcasts. I even, recently, wrote about my obsession with them. This one is different, though. Instead of nightmares, it will give you a case of the giggles. It’s from the ladies at Betches.com (also obsessed with them) and I also regularly listen to their podcast Betch Slapped. It has great weekly GoT recaps and all of the latest celeb drama.
What we’re watching… Game of Thrones on repeat.
The battle at Winterfell did NOT disappoint. Except for the half hour or so when it was so dark you could barely see what was happening and people were changing the contrast on their TVs to try to see it better. Other than that… we can’t wait to see what’s the deal with Bran and what ends up happening with Jon Snow & Dani?!
What we’re making… with Cinco de Mayo and Kentucky Derby on the same weekend…
Sara shared a tasty margarita recipe this week (check it out below) and here’s her recipe from last year for Cinco de Mayo, too! Then, earlier this week Heather schooled us on what happens in Kentucky for the derby, covering the food and fashion. You can feel like a local (even if at home) with her tips and tricks for celebrating the Derby.
