10. These Books are on Fire by Carrie
I discovered a whole new genre of books thanks to #booktok and #momswhoread on TikTok. Also, if you read the hashtag as MOMS WHORE AD, you are not alone.
9. TikTok Food Hacks: I Tested Them So You Wouldn’t Have To! by Heather
If you are anywhere on social media, then you’ve seen them, Tik Tok food hacks. They get scared by all of your friends, family members, and acquaintances. What are they, you might be asking? Tik Tok food hacks are the answer to that all-important question. As someone who is not actually on Tik Tok, I saw videos shared on Facebook and Instagram. And like many others, I was quite intrigued. Finally, curiosity got the better of me. So here I am to tell you what I learned about these 4 “hacks”.
8. Enough of the Hustle: a Response to Rachel Hollis by Claire
Ah, the Rachel Hollis video mess. I’m sure you’ve heard of it by now. Hopefully, you even had a chance to watch it because the original Rachel Hollis video and apology video were taken down earlier this week.
7. Simple Ways of Supporting Terminally Ill Children and Their Families by Kayse
My best gal Lila is going to turn 9 on September 12th. Her birthdays always make me feel nostalgic. You see, six days after Lila was born she was diagnosed with full Trisomy-18. This makes me passionate about supporting terminally ill children and their families.
6. ProLon: So I Did a Cleanse by Julie
So I did it. Something I said I’d never do… a 5-day fast/cleanse, whatever you want to call it. Specifically, ProLon 5-day Fasting Diet. I’m not a “dieter”, I’m not a meal-prepper, I’m not a calorie or carb or anything counter.
5. COVID Almost Killed Our Rock by Heather
Heather here – you may know me as the resident Cooking Queen here at The Basic Moms. But what you probably don’t know is that for the past two months, my family has been living an absolute nightmare. A nightmare that thankfully has a happy ending. I guess I should start at the beginning.
4. About My Divorce: My side of the story by Kayse
I want to take a sec to remind my readers that there are three sides to this divorce story. My side. His side. And what really happened. (Which is likely somewhere in between the two.) This is my side of things.
3. When It’s Right, It’s Right: Getting Back to Dating by Kayse
When I signed up for Tinder and jumped feet first into the dating pool last spring, I wasn’t really hoping for much more than a rebound fling or two. The wounds from ending my 14 year relationship with my husband were still smarting. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to have actual feelings for another human being, but spending time with them on occasion sounded nice. I made sure to prominently feature ethical non-monogamy on my profile, because I had no intentions of involving myself in any form of monogamy.
2. If I Don’t Care Where my Boyfriend’s D!@k is, You Shouldn’t Either by Kayse
My divorce was final last week, and it has me reflecting a bit on my marriage and also looking at what I really want my future to look like. When I was approaching 30, I thought I wanted to get married, buy a house, and have a little family. I checked all of those boxes, and it turns out I wasn’t satisfied.

(We so loved doing book club in the beginning of the year! Let us know if you’d like to start it up again!)
