What we’re wearing… Workout Running Shorts from Amazon
These were sitting in my cart for quite a while before I pulled the trigger to purchase. I needed a new pair of workout shorts and these had great reviews. After wearing and washing them a few times now, I love how they’re holding up. They are great quality and the perfect length. They have a liner inside (like underwear) and several hidden pockets (two in the front and one in the back). The fabric is moisture-wicking so you don’t have to worry about your shorts getting as sweaty as you do!
What we’re listening to… When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger
My sister had recommended this book when I said I was looking for some light reading. This book is currently delivering some laughs. Do you remember Emily from The Devil Wears Prada? Well, this book follows Emily after her days at Runway and in her job as a Publicist/Fixer of Celeb slip-ups. I love listening to books on Audible and can be hands-free now too with my wireless headphones I picked up. Picture a mom pushing a double stroller with headphones in and laughing… yup, that’s me and this is what I’m listening to.
What we’re watching… The Hills (New Beginnings)
Since The Hills ended 10 years ago and we were left with a fake backdrop, basically making you think/realize it was all fake (or at least that was my takeaway), I’m a little confused on the premise of the New Beginnings season. With Audrina as the narrator now and her life in shambles (homegirl cries about 6 times in the first episode), we are reunited with some of the old cast and several “friends” who seem to be there just for the IG following. Take, for instance, Mischa Barton and Brandon Lee (son of Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee). Old and current cast say, ‘oh, we’ve always been friends with Mischa or Brandon,’ but I’m not quite convinced.
Also, the return of Justin Bobby. Ten years later and he’s still the same drifter that Audrina loves to hate. Check it out Monday nights on MTV.
What we’re making… coffee.
How many cups are you taking down a day? With summertime in full swing, I need to stay caffeinated. From sun up to sun down, it’s coffee coffee coffee. Before I make the switch to wine, of course. I’ve made a conscious effort to get away from using k-cups. They are super wasteful, expensive and I have a feeling years from now there will be a class action lawsuit against Keurig for the harmful chemicals going into my morning brew due to those little cups. If you’re also looking to make the switch back to ground coffee, this coffee maker is a must.
