What’s better than chips and guac on Cinco de Mayo? A fresh juicy margarita!!!! I love my basic margarita recipe and love to make them different flavors. One of my friends came back from Disney RAVING about their pomegranate margarita. So off I went to try and recreate one just as good.
Here’s my pomegranate margarita recipe:
2 ounces of your favorite tequila
2 ounces fresh lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup (recipe in the notes)
1 ounce orange liquor
1 ounce fresh orange juice
1 ounce pomegranate juice
Put everything in a shaker filled with ice and give it a good shake and pour into your favorite glass. You could also just pour everything into a glass and give it a stir. It all depends on if you are a shaken or stirred kinda ‘rita person?
If you like salt on your rim, then take a wedge of lime and rub it around the top of the glass. Then dip the glass into some margarita salt or a mix of salt and sugar, depending on your taste. I am a no salt kinda girl, so it isn’t something I remember to do.
Serve the margarita with some yummy chips, guacamole, and creamy jalapeno salsa!!! I hope you enjoy my margarita recipe!!! I would love to know if you are a salt or no salt margarita lover!!!
**Simple Syrup Recipe**
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Place water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. The sugar will dissolve. Once sugar is dissolved turn off the heat and let it cool. Once it is cooled, you can put in a jar and it is ready to use. Keep it in the refrigerator and it will keep for a couple weeks.
