What we’re obsessed with… at-home workouts!
If you follow UR Basic Mom leader, Chelsea on Instagram, you know she’s all about at-home workouts and starting her postpartum journey back to feeling good. As a now Mom of 2, getting to the gym just isn’t gonna fly, not for a while at least. She’s been loving her access to the Netflix of workout programs, check it out above if you need this type of set up.
What we’re listening to… What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
I just finished When Life Gives You Lululemons and that was hysterical, I loved it. It is kind of a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, focusing on Emily’s life (Miranda’s assistant) after Runway. Emily is now in PR, helping fix Hollywood stars PR nightmares. She begins to lose clients to a new PR gal who is all over Instagram.
What Alice Forgot came highly recommended by several friends and I’m excited to get started. I’ve listened to the first chapter and already let out a few laughs. Have you read or listened to it?
What we’re watching… Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 3
Our favorite guidos are back and I have all of these episodes ready for me to watch when this momma gets some downtime. These season focuses on the time before Mike goes off to prison and his wedding to Lauren. I can’t wait for all the DJ Pauly D and Vinny antics too.
Update: I watched the first episode which covers Mike’s sentencing. The cast is waiting to hear what his sentence will be and it is sad to think of how far he has come in his recovery journey to now go to an environment which might jeopardize that. If you follow the show, you might know that Mike will be released from prison any day now.
What we’re making… Pineapple Chicken Skewers
These are the easiest skewers (which you can also do on a baking sheet in the oven). If you have soy sauce (or liquid aminos) and sesame oil in your pantry, then these are a win-win. I love these skewers paired with brown rice for an easy summer meal.
