Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, the comedy power couple, recently launched an all-natural, plant-based baby products line at Walmart called “Hello Bello.” We were able to grab some of the products in-store and order others online (Ebates currently has 5% cash back too). The online shipping took quite a bit longer than you might expect and many of the diaper patterns were sold out online in just a few days from the product launch.
Here is our product review of the Hello Bello plant based baby products line:
Diapers – Jessica C.
I tried out the diapers. Not only are the designs cute (gives me Honest Company vibes), but they are on par with some of the more popular diaper brands. The diapers I tried were blue with white arrows pattern, and the diapers are able to hold up overnight on my 2.5-year old who sleeps through the night and is also well on his way to being potty trained this spring.
Usually, I’m an Up & Up buyer. The most noticeable difference between the two brands is that Hello Bello’s diapers are very soft. They became extremely puffy when filled with liquid. This didn’t seem to bother my little guy, though. I’m also not sure, but when he went #2, I could definitely notice a more potent smell. Some might consider this a good thing because the sooner the dirty diaper is changed, the better for everyone involved. I love that this brand is all-natural and makes me feel “safe” because the materials used are not harmful.
Price comparison: Hello Bello diapers can be ordered in boxes for $23.94 the amount of diapers in the box depends on the size. Newborn boxes have 96 diapers and size 6 boxes have 54 diapers. Compared to Honest Company, the Hello Bello diapers come out to at least $.10 less per diaper in each size. The Hello Bello diaper prices are comparable in cost and quantity to brands like Pampers. They come in a bit pricier than Huggies and store brands like Target’s Up&Up.
Shampoo and Body Wash – Julie
My boys might be a little old (5 and 6) to still be using baby soap. However, they scream as though they have some sort of soap-in-the-eye PTSD if we even suggest the use of regular bar soap. So, here we are, still buying them baby soap. The Hello Bello Shampoo and Body wash has a pleasant smell. It is more mild and natural smelling than most. The soap gives a nice lather on a loofa and rinses off skin and out of hair easily.
We typically use Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo and Wash and I would say that the Hello Bello Shampoo and Body Wash was comparable to that brand in almost every way. Though, the scent was a bit duller in the Hello Bello soap (and I know some might consider that a plus). We will likely continue to use this brand (until I can get the littles to switch to Irish Springs like mom and dad).
Price comparison: at $5.98 per 9.8fl. oz bottle, The Hello Bello Shampoo and Body Wash is similar in price to both Burt’s Bees and slightly more expensive than Aveeno Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo. However, it is quite a bit more pricey than Johnson’s Baby Wash and Shampoo and store brand.
Currently, online orders of over $25 are eligible for free shipping. You can also register on the Hello Bello website and have bundles shipped out to you in regular intervals. Now, that sure sounds quick and easy. We are not receiving any products or pay in exchange for a positive review. We simply enjoy trying new products and letting you know what we thought.
