I’m gonna be honest, this year I was going to let Halloween fly by without doing all the extras. There was going to be no decorations, no Halloween fun, just trunk-or-treating and trick-or-treating. I wasn’t going to not have any fun. But this year, I just wasn’t feeling up to getting out all the Halloween stuff. If I could I would be decorating for Christmas, yes I am one of those. However, I have pulled out the Halloween decorations and put up spooky spider webs and spiders around my house. And, I’m glad I did, the kids love it. So while I am on a roll with the Halloween decorations, I might as well have a little Halloween fun, by booing someone in my neighborhood.
We haven’t picked which house yet, but “the boo” is ready. Unfortunately Miss Lily got sick over the weekend so we couldn’t do it this weekend. Now, I hear some of you saying, “What on Earth is booing.” Well it is just a little something Halloween themed, that you leave on someone’s doorstep for them to be surprised. It isn’t something expensive or something that needs to stress you out, just do whatever you feel is good. My kids favorite part is running the boo up to the doorstep and leaving it there and running back.
I’m going to give you some suggestions on what I put in my boo, so that it makes it even easier for you. Because I’m all about making things easy for moms! Let’s face it, we already have enough during the fall/winter season to think about! This year, my boo was all store-bought, but in the past I have included homemade goodies, as well. So if you love to bake or make – throw your favorites in there.
Here’s a picture of this year’s boo.
There are spider rings, Halloween crayons, pencils, Halloween pretzels, Halloween gummies, bubbles, and a pumpkin craft kit. Most of these items I found at Target, so that makes it super easy. Then you just print out the printables below and go booing!!!
Here’s mine all put together and ready to go, I do use some tissue paper in the bottom to help everything stand up and look nice, but that is just something a little extra.
I hope you and the kids have fun booing your friends, neighbors, and family!! If you get a chance, make sure to tag Ur Basic Mom over on Instagram or Facebook, we would love to see your boos!
