Let’s talk gifts for all these people in your life! I feel like each year I’m scrambling and searching the internet for “best gifts for” fill in the blank. I also ALWAYS go in with the intention of starting to shop early, then one or two weeks out from the big day, I’m at a loss and buying gift cards. {I hate buying gift cards, they feel so impersonal.}
I’m sure the same thing will happen again for me, but NOT for you. I’ve compiled a list of gifts that I know my family loves {oh, and some of my faves too} to help YOU shop for the holidays.
We can start with the little ones and work our way up.
New baby in the fam {who dis?}, I love personalized ornaments to commemorate their first Christmas. I’ve used Personalization Mall before {for a baby blanket}, so they’re the real deal. You can never go wrong with Pottery Barn {keep an eye out for a free personalization deal}, they’ve always got a sale going on! Peek below to see another ornament option for the grandparents!
Does your little one love to make music? Check out this Melissa & Doug Band in a Box. Jackson LOVES his music toys and you can’t beat the wood pieces & quality that is Melissa & Doug toys!
Put it in my cart, I’m sold. The tent and teepee craze is a bit over the top. Is it normal to spend over $100 on a teepee that they just sit in? NO. The answer is No. I was elated when I came across this option from Ikea. I can skip Starbucks for a week to make up for this $19.99 purchase {let’s be real, I won’t skip Starbucks}.
Ok, we’ve covered sitting in tents and making sure they are musically inclined by 4. Let’s cover the other areas of the arts, also hopping over to Ikea for the win here. If you don’t have the space for this standing chalkboard, they have a tabletop paper roll; or go all out and get both – the paper roll also attaches to the standing chalkboard.
For the kiddies {FYI these are total guesses, some seem ridiculous and some are just regular old toys}.
- Baby Alive {I mean I remember my own Baby Alive doll, she went to the bathroom on my sister Christmas morning, it was hysterical.}
- Some insane Hot Wheels garage
- What about a game about a wet soggy dog {I have a real life dog that I can let run around soaking wet if you want to send your kids over}.
Let’s skip ahead to the adults!
ME {I mean… the Moms.} After looking over this photo collage, I realized how old and boring I’ve become. I basically want a necklace, socks, coldgear, and slippers. Just to clarify, I’m not 80 years old.
Ugg Slippers. These are the best thing I’ve ever gotten. They’re so comfortable and warm, but they have an actual sole. I sometimes get in the car with them on before I realize I should put on real shoes to go out in public.
Diamonds {I mean we have to at least try to get them, they’re a girl’s best friend?} I wear mine everyday {with my son’s initial} and it’s so delicate and cute. LOVE IT, but heads up, it’s a big-ticket item.
Socks {What? They’re practical.} It’s good when you can depend on the holidays for new socks and underwear. I’m a huge fan of LOFT socks.
Monogram Scarf {monogram that ish.} I love this scarf and the personalization is a nice detail, especially for any ladies with a new last name!
While we’re talking winter apparel, check out these adorbs pom hats too. If you live in the Northeast, we’re still waiting on the winter weather, but it’s best to be prepared and in style.
DUDES {Dudes alert!} Don’t you love when your husband {or side piece} says they don’t want anything for Christmas, so you listen and don’t get them anything and then they’re like “You didn’t get me anything?!” Here are a few items that they’ll definitely LOVE and maybe don’t give it to them at first {see how it goes} and return that purchase and buy yourself something {haha, I’m kidding, kinda}.
Pretty much anything YETI, they keep things cold for like an eternity. My husband, all his friends and now my father are obsessed with YETI, especially these cups.
Leather Duffel Bag {If your man travels a lot, let him do it in style.} I bought a very similar one to this for my husband a few years back and he’s used it so much. He will have this for years to come.
Men apparently feel more manly when they have a pocket knife, it doesn’t matter how many times they actually use it. Also, it doesn’t matter if they don’t use it for super manly things. They have a knife. That’s it.
My husband has never met a puffy vest he didn’t like.
Any Patagonia pullover or Better Sweater is a fan favorite too.
Teachers {because the people that spend more time with your kids then you do deserve something good, and giving alcohol is frowned upon!}
There are a few routes you can go here – food, gift card or useless items they might never use or aren’t their style.
Going with food, enter Mrs. Prindables apples. They’re AMAZING. I ordered extra so I had some for me {I mean the family}. You have to order early and choose your delivery date through QVC.
More of a gift card giver… You can never go wrong with Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts, or Target {no one hates Target}.
Useless item that you’re not quite sure if they’ll like, but you like it? Here are a few options:
Simple Stud Earrings
Adjustable Bracelet
Cute Anthro Mugs {some are on sale for $5}
One gift your child’s teacher will be sure to use is HAND SANITIZER!
Can’t forget the Grandparents…
These Photo Ornaments are adorable! I just ordered mine {shhhhh!} You know the grandparents love seeing the little ones on their tree and it’s nice to make it a traditional gift over the years and be able to look back.
Everyone else in your family…
Buy in bulk… This deal covers 3 family members with one purchase! Philosophy kit of products. I love me some QVC!
