Mom uniform for any day past September 1st is black leggings. Am I right? I feel like I’ve purchased 1,000 pairs of black leggings over my lifetime and could never find that perfect pair.
This one is too sheer, too short, too thick, uncomfortable elastic waistband, they stretch out, don’t wash up nicely… I can keep going.
Here are 3 different pairs I have fallen in love with over the past year…
- They’re $19
- They do have an elastic band around the waist, but it doesn’t dig into your sides since it’s thin.
- You can wear them a handful of times before they stretch out a little bit and need to be washed.
- They’re also high-waisted.
- They’re like the perfect thickness.
Lularoe Black Leggings (go on Facebook and you can find a million Lularoe Consultants)
- They’re $25
- There’s no elastic waistband, but like a rope. The sizing is great (Tween/One Size/Tall & Curvy). Before baby, I was a size 0-2 and fit in the tween, however, those were a little shorter on me. The One size is a good fit and length too.
- They’re thick enough so you can’t see your underoos through them.
- They’re warmer than your average legging, which is great for winter.
- I would NOT recommend working out in these, I was sweating my butt off when I did in the past.
Zella Live In High Waist Leggings
I bought these at Nordstrom Rack, so they were NOT the $54 price tag that Nordstrom currently sells them for.
- Great weekend leggings and for working out too!
- Thicker than the BP and Lularoe ones, but have a sheen to them.
- They have seams down the legs, similar to workout leggings.
- They also don’t stretch out after 1 wear.
