So many things invoke that feeling of slowing down and enjoying life that comes every Autumn. One of the biggest things that bring those feelings right home for me is a warm, ooey, gooey dessert. Here are the sweet endings that make my FALL feel perfect.
Our Fall Dessert Roundup:
S’mores Cups
If you have been alive anytime during the last four decades, then I’m sure you have heard of S’mores. It’s that perfect combination of graham cracker, gooey melted marshmallow, and decadent milk chocolate. About 7 or 8 years ago, I came across a recipe that blended these ingredients in the perfect handheld dessert. So when you don’t have a bonfire going for the real deal, you can stay in and still enjoy this fall classic.
Pumpkin Coffee Cake
When I struggle to get in the fall mood (which doesn’t happen often), I have one sure-fire dessert that does the trick. The Maple Glazed Pumpkin Coffee Cake from The Gunny Sack has a glaze that will have you licking your fingers for hours. And if that isn’t enough, the walnut streusel topping will have you under its spell.
Cinnamon and Sugar Baked Apples
This has to be one of the simplest yet most decadent fall desserts that grace our table. Other than pumpkins, nothing says fall quite like apples to my family. Cool weekend days are the perfect time to make a batch of Cinnamon & Sugar Baked Apples. As you can see, I love serving it with vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle.
Apple Cider Donut Cake
This is the newest addition to my fall lineup. While researching and writing this post, I began looking for new fall dessert ideas. I came across this Apple Cider Donut Cake, and my life has been forever changed. Let me just say that I adore a good apple cider donut. Literally the only thing better is turning that flavor into a delicious cake. After trying it myself, I can say without a doubt that you will not be disappointed.
Magic Cookie Bars
For as long as I can remember, Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars have been a staple dessert for fall (year-round, if I’m being completely honest here). And just like the name suggests, there are seven layers of yumminess all stacked together that will leave your mouth and tummy wanting more. These are definitely not on any diet plans, though.

Pumpkin Spice Blossom Cookies
Picture this, a blossom cookie that screams FALL. Picky Palate has just the answer. The concept that Jenny came up with is referred to as giving kisses for fall. I’ve used both spice cake mix and chocolate cake mix for my cookie base. Both have a great flavor. But I have to admit; I prefer the spice cake mix version.
Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie
This pie has to be my absolute #1 favorite dessert regardless of what time of year it is. But I find myself gravitating towards it even more than others, especially as the temperatures start to decline. After so many tries and fails, I have to say Quiche My Grits has found a perfect balance.
So there you have it. These truly are my TOP 7 go-to fall desserts. When you need that little extra boost to get excited about “sweater weather,” just pop one of these delicious dishes into the oven.
