Prepare to be amazed. With 2020 officially being the worst, there were a few good things that came from it… the normalization of lounge wear! Woohoo. Moms unite. The emphasis on comfiness is leading the charge and my holiday gift guide (wants & haves).
Here are my highest recommendations of products I love and use daily, in addition to some wishlist items that maybe one of my family members will see this and purchase for me. It’s worth a shot!
But first, let’s start with what I already own and love in no particular order…
If you follow us over on @urbasicmom Instagram, you know I’m always rocking these around the house. They are super comfy and I’m really digging the open toe/heel. Catch them on sale at DSW and they typically come in under $20, plus rave reviews!
Why not use the pandemic and tons of time at home to grow out your lashes and brows. That’s what I’ve been doing the past couple of weeks after a friend recommended the lash serum (typically discounted at least half off, and MUCH less than the R&F version). Bundle it together with the Brow growth serum too. Hello lashes and brows, welcome back!
This gloss trio is one of my favorite lip products, smells great and not sticky. My color recommendations are Orchid for a natural tone and Hibiscus if you like a deeper berry mauve hue. Perfect Stocking Stuffer!
I was looking for a new scent and had heard great things about Burberry Her. I saw the price tag on the full bottle (eeek!), so before committing, I purchased the $30 on-the-go version. Smelling lovely for a third of the price.
Stocking Stuffer Alert! The best and most affordable mascara is Lash Paradise. This will not disappoint your mascara loving friends and if you are a Costco shopper, they sometimes have a bundle deal! Otherwise, they can be found at any drugstore.
Where would I be without my Apple Watch? Probably sitting on my butt. My favorite and most used feature is when I put down my phone somewhere and can’t find it, I simply ping my iPhone (even when silenced) to find it quickly. Other than that, it’s reminding me to stand up, get in steps, breath/meditate, & the list goes on and on. I especially love it for texting and logging workouts.
With remote working or weekend lounging, these joggers are perfection. Thin, but not too thin. Comfy, not restricting. Drawstring/Stretch waistband (hello 15 lbs. gained from covid). Obsessed with these joggers. Be sure to order true to size.
This thing is a godsend. For someone who would normally spend 30+ minutes blow drying her hair, then follow by 20+ minutes of straightening… this is legit. Blow dry time definitely cut down and the built in brush helps straighten & dry in one step.

Two years back I desperately wanted to stop buying kcups. The idea of hot water going through a plastic cup and into my beverage just weirded me out, plus they’re expensive as hell! Also, we went through three Keurig’s randomly dying on us. Totally over that movement, I started researching coffee makers and found the Ninja Coffee Bars. We settled on a Single Serve machine as we don’t often have to make a pot of coffee (but there is an option for that). I haven’t bought kcups since and I’ve never looked back.

We have Echo Dots throughout the house to have quick access to Alexa and what seems like an endless library of music. Grab these for an amazing price (under $30) and I’m sure the Black Friday and Cyber Week deals will take that price even lower!
Ok, I’m an Apple product lover… but I hate their airbuds and headphones in general. I guess I have different ears than the majority of the population, they just don’t stay in my ears?? So, I needed something with the rubber earpiece and these came highly recommended. I’ve had them for about two months now and they’re great. They also come with a charging case to keep them together/charged. Save yourself a good $100 and buy these from Amazon instead.
Now.. onto the items I’ve been eyeing up and haven’t purchased yet.
I’ve decided I’m a robe person. This is the one I’ve been checking out. A plush robe just sounds so comfy cozy.
I love all of the BaubleBar personalized bracelet options. Whether you do your kids’ names, your name, nickname, or “mama”, these are so fun. I love that you can mix and match, as well as stack them.
Remember in high school when wearing Abercrombie was a necessity, but also a luxury. Well in our adult years, we can actually afford it now?! Also, I think they’ve lowered their pricing in the past 15 years. I’ve been loving their sweatshirts and have had my eye on this pullover for quite some time. If no one gets it for me, I’ll def buy it after the holidays.
Moms need coffee. Which means, Moms also need cute coffee mugs. I’m going to start 2021 with a positive mindset. I’ll need all the help I can get, so a mug won’t hurt. This is one of a million beautiful mug options from Anthro – my go to for specialty mugs.
I was really torn on liking this beanie because I don’t think of myself as a Carhartt girl. But I’ve seen it on a bunch of people and I have to say, I’m into it. Add it to my beanie collection for winter.
If all else fails, get them/me a giftcard to Starbucks.
I hope you loved my gift guide and found some ideas for a person in your life, or yourself. Let us know what you are buying for your family and friends this year! Happy Shopping!
